Keep your temper cools
Author: admin
There is a saying that says: There is no situation so bad that can not be made worse by losing his temper. How many times have been in situations where we have made things worse to lose our temper? How often have we seen this from happening to others? How often have broken friendships, because one side or both lost their cool and lashed out with his tongue and said things that can never be forgiven after? The newspapers are full of reports of wife-beating and child abuse that are incredible, however, were committed by other loving fathers and mothers.
It is clear to all of us to lose our tempers, instead of keeping our cool temperament, is dangerous, those who have lost their tempers have ruined the lives of times - the others and their own. A moment of anger has often made people who commit violent crimes. There are at least a few parents who have been imprisoned because they have abused their son. However, there is no denying that they do love their children very much. It is as if a demon has taken a sudden passion for them and made them do the unspeakable, and then after the deed was done, left the man to face the music. In many cases, offenders have confessed that they did not know what they had done they do.
Obviously, keep cool is a quality to be developed. This is a highly desirable quality to be where a person never loses his cool. The question now arises: Do we have control over our temperament or is it something that can not be helped? Can we really develop the art of keeping cool? Since some of us are bad tempered, it is clear that the ability to keep cold can be grown. Psychologists say that our behavior is the result of conditioning. From the moment they had children; those of us who can not keep cool have enabled us to develop bad tempers. We have done to imitate the adults in our lives. It is also true that only the behaviors that give us pay-offs are developed. Seen from this perspective, it is likely that when we lost our tempers and threw tantrums - as children - we received what we wanted. This reinforced the trend of losing and tempers have brought us this into adulthood to become uncontrollable.
Based on this theory, we can develop an ability to keep cool. We could strengthen consciously keeping cold instead of blowing our tops. Each time that we control our tempers we should reward ourselves. This reward does not have to be prepared. In small invisible conditions a mere pat on the back would also be a reward. In more severe conditions, like when we keep cool and refuse to lose temper and creep kick that - just as we are the only ones tempted to - we can treat ourselves to an ice cream or a movie. The mind soon learns that it’s more fun to keep cool instead of losing cool. Soon the trend of losing one’s cool becomes less and less.
The rewards of developing a calm and cool nature are many very difficult and we aim to develop. History is full of great men who kept cool and won the admiration of generations. It is well known that a cool and controlled person can make better decisions and act better. Everybody wants to be that person!
